Key matchup in Window 2: Ukraine vs Israel

As we enter the November window, Slovenia sits comfortably at the top of the table with victories over Israel and Ukraine whereas Portugal and Israel hold one win each. However, a big challenge lies ahead for the Portuguese with two games against the group favorites. This opens up a potential chance for Ukraine to step it up and enter the qualification race after two February losses.

Key matchup in Window 2: Italy vs Iceland

This could be a make-or-break window in Group B, with Italy and Türkiye favored in their respective November matchups. If the European giants can get the job done, this could go a long way to making Gianmarco Pozzecco and Ergin Ataman two very happy coaches ahead of the final window next February. For Iceland and Hungary, every game they can steal from the big boys could prove to be a golden point.

Key matchup in Window 2: Sweden vs Germany

Anything's too close to call in Group D. Bulgaria recorded a shock against the world champions Germany in February, leveling the table for all four nations involved. With all four teams now sitting at 1-1, everything is possible. However, a pair of wins in the window of double headers for any of the teams could make the picture a lot clearer before the final two games next year.

Croatia vs Bosnia and Herzegovina is the name of the game in this group. Key matchup in Window 2: Greece vs Great Britain

Can Great Britain make it three FIBA EuroBasket appearances in a row? The answer to that question may lie in their ability to pull off an upset against the undefeated Greece after registering an important win over Netherlands in the last window. At the same time, the Dutch will be the ones with the most pressure on their shoulders as the play catch up on their Group F opponents, having lost a pair of close fixtures in February.

Key matchup in Window 2: Finland vs Georgia

This being yet another group with the co-hosts already qualified, Serbia, Demark and Georgia are in a three-horse race for two spots, no matter where Finland end up in the standings. Serbia have the inner lane after an unbeaten start in February, as they face Denmark twice in November. This leaves Georgia with the task of securing at least a win over pressureless Finland if they want to get the things rolling after two February losses.

Both teams lie at 1-1 with showdowns in Skopje and Klaipeda promising plenty of intrigue. While Poland are last as things stand, their performances against Estonia may have a big impact on the fortunes of other teams in Group H.
