MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers have come to a close and it's time to look back on some of the greatest performances over the three windows.
There were certainly some unforgettable individual showings for the ages with the action having started back in February 2024 and closing one year on.
Here is a look at the single-game highs from the competition:
Efficiency: 49 - Sasha Vezenkov (BUL)
Sasha Vezenkov only played in one game in the Qualifiers but what a game it was for Bulgaria in the February 2025 window. The Olympiacos Piraeus superstar registered a Qualifiers high 49 efficiency as he poured in 40 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in an 81-77 overtime victory over Sweden to keep the Bulgarians alive for a spot in the EuroBasket. It was a performance Bulgaria fans will remember forever and European fans will talk about for ages.
Mario Hezonja wasn't that far from matching Vezenkov's mark as he registered a 47 efficiency in a 104-67 victory over Cyprus. And, David Kramer of Germany had an efficiency of 41 against Sweden.
Points: 43 - Nenad Dimitrijevic (MKD), David Kramer (GER)
The EuroBasket Qualifiers saw two of the greatest scoring games in the competition's history in a matter of three days. Germany guard David Kramer torched Sweden for 43 points on November 22, 2024 - albeit in a 73-72 road loss.
Kramer's outburst was the second highest number of points scored by any German player for the national team, in any game - trailing only Dirk Nowitzki's 47-point output against Angola at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2006.
Nenad Dimitrijevic of North Macedonia matched Kramer's scoring mark on November 24 with 43 points in a 94-72 loss against Lithuania. Dimitrijevic actually missed the chance to score more as he sat the final 6 minutes with a calf injury.
Meanwhile, Mario Hezonja of Croatia had two great showings in the final window, torching Cyprus for 40 points in a 104-67 victory after tallying 37 points against France in a hard-fought 83-80 loss that eliminated Croatia from EuroBasket contention. And, Serbian big man Filip Petrusev scored 34 points versus Finland in a 105-95 victory.
Rebounds: 18 - Sasha Vezenkov (BUL)
Sasha Vezenkov's magical game in the 81-77 overtime win over Sweden also included him grabbing a Qualifiers best 18 rebounds - six of those boards came off the offensive glass.
Gabe Olaseni of Great Britain had the second-best rebounding performance with 14 boards in a EuroBasket-clinching 73-69 win over Netherlands. Eight players grabbed 13 rebounds in a game.
Assists: 12 - Luke Nelson (GBR)
Great Britain locked up a spot in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 and the foundation was laid in the first window with a 98-94 victory at home over Netherlands. Luke Nelson played a massive role in getting that win as he scored 14 points but also dished out 12 assists. That ended up being the most dimes by any player in the Qualifiers.
Estonian guard Kristian Kullamae distributed 11 assists against Poland in November 2024 and Türkiye point guard Kenan Sipahi also had 11 assists in the second window against Hungary.
Steals: 7 - Jean-Marc Mwema (BEL), Adin Vrabac (BIH)
One of the main factors for Belgium's defense against Spain was Jean-Marc Mwema, who swiped a Qualifiers single game high of 7 against the Spanish - who won 59-52. Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Adin Vrabac also collected 7 steals, evening Mwema's mark against France in a 76-74 loss.
There were 12 players in total that picked up 5 steals over the course of the Qualifiers.
Blocks: 6 - Michael Fusek (SVK)
Michael Fusek was a menace around the basket with 6 blocks during Slovakia's close attempt at shocking the 2022 EuroBasket champions, before falling short in a 76-72 loss.
Fusek's output was two blocks better than the next best performance with Tryggvi Hlinason of Iceland swatting four shots against Türkiye and North Macedonia's Ethan Happ also getting four blocks against Estonia in the February 2024 window. Yoan Makoundou also blocked four shots for France in the final Qualifiers game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
