Top of Europe: 83 players who have won both EuroBasket and EuroLeague

Eight players from Spain are dual EuroBasket and EuroLeague champions

Who stands out among the 83 players to have achieved the feat?

    The official EuroBasket app

MUNICH (Germany) - Excelling for both club and country stands as the ultimate test of a player's mettle and reaching the very top of Europe in both the continent's flagship national team and club competitions is as difficult a challenge as there can be in basketball.

In fact, only 83 players can say they are both EuroBasket and EuroLeague champions, with the most recent addition to the list being Spanish forward and FIBA EuroBasket 2022 champion Juancho Hernangomez, who also added a EuroLeague title to his collection in 2024 with Panathinaikos Athens.

Hernangomez is also one of five active players on the list alongside Nando De Colo, Luka Doncic, Sergio Llull and Ricky Rubio, all of whom could still add to their list of accomplishments.

In total, there are 23 players who have won them both at least twice, eight of which have earned even higher status as three-time winners in both competitions. That octet consists of Dejan Bodiroga, Rudy Fernandez, Janis Krumins, Sergio Llull, Valdis Muiznieks, Zoran Savic, Maigonis Valdmanis and Gennadi Volnov.

Standing out among the legends is an even more impressive six EuroBasket titles and three EuroLeague crowns for Volnov, while Spain and Real Madrid talisman Fernandez deserves a special notice having won four EuroBasket trophies.

Among the 83 players with at least one of both titles, the player with the most EuroLeague triumphs is 1983 EuroBasket champion Dino Meneghin with seven titles with Varese and Milano.

Meanwhile, Panagiotis Vasilopoulos is the only player on the list with a unique triple crown, having also won the Basketball Champions League with AEK Athens in 2018.

You will find the full list of players who have won both competitions below:
