To help you prepare for action, we ranked the teams from 1 to 32 in Volume 5 of the Smart Power Rankings, taking into consideration their upcoming schedule, roster strength, and of course their previous rank in Volume 5 of the Power Rankings.

Here is how the Power Rankings look ahead of the February 2025 window.

    #1 Serbia (-)

    Record: 4-0

As long as coach Svetislav Pesic is smiling, we're keeping Serbia at number one. Already qualified for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025, so a chance for him to do some fine-tuning ahead of the summer.

    #2 France (-)

    Record: 4-0

Thinking about hiring some Math majors to explain to us how France are still not officially qualified even though they stand tall at 4-0. Anyway, time to go back down the memory lane, as France will play Croatia in Zadar, yes, the basketball town; in the Jazine arena, yes, the one where they won the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2000.

Yes. The one where they created Les Enfants De Zadar, their golden generation with Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, Ronny Turiaf, Mickael Pietrus, Yakhouba Diawara and others.

So, with all of the youngsters coming through in this lineup, maybe a successful trip to Croatia gets us a sequel. Les Enfants De Zadar, epilogue.

    #3 Greece (+1)

    Record: 3-1

Roster so good, we moved them up a spot without them even having one practice together.

    #4 Latvia (-1)

    Record: 4-0

Losing a spot has got nothing to do with them, it's more about Greece still not being qualified and putting together a strong roster, than anything else. But give credit to Latvia, they knew they would make the Final Round because they are hosting the event, and still they went 4-0 so far.

Home game against Spain coming up, that could be a statement win for these guys. Another one, right? Right.

    #5 Türkiye (+1)

    Record: 3-1

Qualified, but still. It's not over yet. It's about building a culture and making the other European nations shiver when they hear that 12 Dev Adam song blasting through the speakers. You don't know the song!?

So jealous of you then. What we would give to experience these 75 seconds for the first time again...

Yeah, song hits even harder now that they've got their EuroLeague guys back in the locker room. Makes Türkiye intimidating again.

    #6 Germany (+1)

    Record: 2-2

WAIT WHAT!? DANIEL THEIS IS PLAYING THE SECOND GAME OF THE WINDOW!? Oh yes, the world champs are dead serious now, especially because they haven't booked their ticket to the Final Round yet.

But having Theis, Isaac Bonga, Andreas Obst, Johannes Thiemann and Johannes Voigtmann together again, with all the other up and coming Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich guys, and hot shooting David Kramer from La Laguna Tenerife... Yeah, we could've moved Germany up to Top 5, easily.

    #7 Lithuania (-2)

    Record: 3-1

Lithuania giving us the side eye because we moved them two spots back. A lot of Basketball Champions League talent on display here, including the MVP of the Group Phase Gytis Radzevicius, as coach Rimas Kurtinaitis decided to call up four Rytas Vilnius players, and AEK Betsson BC's veteran leader Mindaugas Kuzminskas.

They already qualified for the main event, so no stress in February for these guys.

    #8 Spain (+1)

    Record: 2-2

Introducing new talent 24/7. We saw guys like Izan Almansa and Sergio De Larrea getting their first taste of international basketball during these Qualifiers, and now it's time for Hugo Gonzalez, Rafa Villar and Mario Saint-Supery to introduce themselves to the rest of the continent.

A lot of offensive talent for this round of games, with Dario Brizuela joining the team, and Santi Yusta set to repeat the miracles he performed back in November.

    #9 Italy (-1)

    Record: 3-1

The only reason they lost a spot is because of their schedule, as they have to travel to Türkiye, without any pressure of having to win, since they qualified for the main event.

    #10 Slovenia (0)

    Record: 3-1

Time to give the experienced guys some rest. After Matic Rebec, Aleksej Nikolic, Klemen Prepelic and Jaka Blazic did a lot of heavy lifting in November, the 2017 champs mixed things up a bit in February, letting the younger guys take over.

Remember how we said in November that youngsters like Mark Padjen, Ziga Daneu and Luka Scuka can be counted on despite their young age? Of course you don't, but turns out, they are the experienced ones now, so deal with it.

    #11 Estonia (0)

    Record: 3-1

Best of the rest, right? Estonia are still in a great position, despite not qualifying yet. They can even afford to lose to North Macedonia by a few points, but you never want to go that way, because players relax too much and runs happen and all of a sudden you're down 14 instead of four.

Anyway, Estonia should be good. Estonia are the "no worries" reply your boss sends you when you warn them about potentially missing the first deadline.

    #12 Montenegro (+1)

    Record: 3-1

Montenegro are searching for Kendrick Perry's replacement and their initial roster for this window includes both Jonah Radebaugh and Charlie Moore.

Radebaugh does have an edge of playing alongside Nemanja Radovic and Marko Todorovic in UCAM Murcia, but Moore is having a fine season with Breogan, getting 14.3 points and 4.5 assists per game, so it sounds like a win-win situation.

Keep an eye on Vladimir Mihailovic, too. He's having a sublime scoring season with Zadar in the Adriatic League, and at 34 years of age, he's more confident than ever.

    #13 Israel (-1)

    Record: 3-1

No alarms and no surprises for Israel. They are on cruise control now and their last two games could see them win the group, which would be a message to all of us at the Power Rankings Headquarters - to put them into the Top 10 at the end of the Window.

With Deni Avdija growing into a star with the Portland Trail Blazers during their recent winning run, it doesn't sound like Israel would lose their potential Top 10 spot even when the main event tips off.

    #14 Bosnia and Herzegovina (0)

    Record: 2-2

Can't wait for these guys to play at home once again, so we get more photos like these. They could qualify on Friday already, here's your link explaining how.

Top of the world feeling for Dzanan Musa

    #15 Georgia (+1)

    Record: 2-2

Home game against Denmark? Win to qualify? Okay, consider this match-point on your own serve, Georgia. That's why we moved you up a spot, this is time for you to go full Nikoloz Basilashvili, from his 2019 days if possible, when he was flirting with a Top 15 spot.

Just like you are flirting with it now. Successfully.

    #16 Belgium (-1)

    Record: 2-2

Kids are always the answer. Knowing they need a win to qualify, Belgium still opted to put together one of their youngest lineups ever, 31-year-old Retin Obasohan looking like a seasoned veteran compared to his 2000-and-later born teammates.

Even a defeat of up to 14 points to Slovakia would send Belgium through, but you know they'll be aiming for a win at home.

    #17 Czechia (0)

    Record: 2-2

Don't be surprised if by the end of their game against Greece some of the staff members start looking at their phones, at least for notifications.

Because Czechia need to keep an eye on Netherlands vs Great Britain matchup, that's what sends them through, in case Team GB defeat Oranje. Also, plenty of ERA Nymburk players here, and they are having one of the biggest Cinderella runs in all of Europe right now, led by legends Jaromir Bohacik, Martin Kriz and Vojtech Hruban.

    #18 Iceland (0)

    Record: 2-2

Win and you're in. Iceland travel to Hungary, it's going to be an incredibly tough experience with the Hungarian fans creating all the chaos in the stands.

Iceland own a five-point lead from the first matchup, and even if they lose by 5+ points, they are still not out as they would be at 2-3, Hungary at 1-4 with a game left to play. So, yellow light, slight danger. Not red, but not green either.

    #19 Portugal (0)

    Record: 2-2

Just here to tell you Portugal have not been to the FIBA EuroBasket since 2011. A win over Israel, or a Slovenian win over Ukraine, and the drought ends on Friday.

Say, that sounds familiar, Portugal ending a drought, right? Of course it does.

    #20 Sweden (0)

    Record: 2-2

It's okay, you just need to win in Bulgaria and they are... Wait, why are Bulgaria so close to you in the Power Rankings? What's going on? Sweden should be in great position, what's this now?

    #21 Bulgaria (+4)

    Record: 1-3

Ohhhh... That's right. Sasha Vezenkov is expected to play! Codi Miller-McIntyre too. Multiply those two with the traditional Bulgarian home court record, and you get Bulgaria as the best 1-3 team here, easily.

They are still in danger, they could be eliminated with a defeat if Germany beat Montenegro on Thursday.

    #22 Great Britain (0)

    Record: 2-2

Get this, Great Britain have only missed one FIBA EuroBasket since 2009. However, their last Final Round win happened in 2013, so there's a lot of motivation, first to get through, then to be more than just a participant in 2025.

One win away. They defeated the Netherlands 98-94 in this campaign, if they complete the sweep they can pack their bags and adjust start making their summer plans after the draw.

    #23 Croatia (-2)

    Record: 2-2

Playing in Jazine in Zadar is special, sure. Playing against France, one of the European juggernauts is special, sure. But Croatia are in trouble because they are in do-or-die mode, they need to defeat the previously unbeaten France, who are coming to Zadar with their strongest roster so far in these Qualifiers.

A defeat plus a BIH win over Cyprus and Croatia would be out. You realize how crazy that sounds!? A FIBA EuroBasket without Croatia? Yeah, tune in to watch the game in Zadar next Friday.

    #24 Poland (-1)

    Record: 1-3

The hosts are set to test the Spodek Arena, where they will host the FIBA EuroBasket 2025, and they get to do it against Lithuania on Friday, so it's a nice way to spend your day if you're a Polish basketball fan.

The roster is as strong as ever, with some new faces showing up, and maybe we get to meet Kuba Pisla, Mateusz Szlachetka or Jakub Szumert in February. If not, there's plenty of time for them. Poland need some new guys to start slowly taking over, one day at a time.

    #25 Finland (-1)

    Record: 1-3

Yes, Olivier Nkamhoua is on the roster, we're guaranteed at least five big highlights for our social media this month! In all seriousness, Finland are probably a Top 15, potentially a Top 10 team when the tournament arrives, but since they are already qualified as hosts and they used these Qualifiers to test some new stuff out, we don't get to talk about their true strength.

So let's talk about Nkamhoua. Probably two dunks, a wild and-one and a pair of blocks. That's the prediction for the five highlights, stay tuned.

    #26 Netherlands (0)

    Record: 1-3

This is a scary sentence: Netherlands would be eliminated with a loss. In fact, they will be chasing a five-point win against Great Britain on Friday - yes, a lot is going on on Friday - and if it doesn't happen, then Oranje would probably miss another FIBA EuroBasket. They made it in 2015 and 2022.

    #27 North Macedonia (+1)

    Record: 1-3

It doesn't look promising for North Macedonia, because both Estonia and Lithuania are so far ahead of them in this piece, and also two wins ahead of them in the standings.

But a team with TJ Shorts II and Nenad Dimitrijevic on the squad cannot be counted out just yet. And just by having those two together, they moved up a spot.

    #28 Denmark (-1)

    Record: 1-3

It looked promising for a bit to start the Qualifiers, but Denmark are now in search of a miracle, because they need to defeat Georgia on the road, or we're saying goodbye to them already on Friday.

    #29 Hungary (0)

    Record: 0-4

The easiest way to describe what's going on - Hungary are the best 0-4 team of the Qualifiers. They need to defeat Iceland by at least five points to stay in the hunt ahead of the final Gameday.

It could still happen for them. But at 0-4, it doesn't sound likely.

    #30 Ukraine (0)

    Record: 0-4

Even a win could see them eliminated, in case Portugal defeat Israel. The initial roster has all the usual suspects, so there's plenty of experience in that lineup, it's just that they need to win both of their games, and hope Portugal lose both of theirs, so a February miracle happens and sends Ukraine through.

    #31 Slovakia (0)

    Record: 0-4

Basketball is cruel. They were inches away from upsetting Spain, and now they find themselves in a situation where they need a 15-point win over Belgium in Belgium.

It could've been such a different story, but Slovakia need even more than a miracle, they need a once in a lifetime string of results to steal that final ticket from Group C.

    #32 Cyprus (0)

    Record: O-4

Already qualified, but at 0-4 and -93 there's not much to say about one of the four FIBA EuroBasket 2025 hosts. Cyprus will have plenty of fans in Croatia on Friday, as their potential win over BIH could help Croatia advance to the Final Round.

And if it happens, then they'll have plenty of fans in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as Cyprus play host to Croatia on the final gameday and could help BIH advance with a win. Yeah, that's the fun part of being 0-4 in these Qualifiers, you can still complicate proceedings.
