MUNICH (Germany) - Six-time champion Diana Taurasi has announced her retirement from the sport and exits as one of the all-time greats of the competition, leaving behind an outstanding EuroLeague Women legacy. Tied for the record number of titles with Emma Meesseman, Alba Torrens and Natalya Vieru, the guard collected the prestigious silverware four editions in a row between 2007 and 2010 as the heartbeat of the famous Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje dynasty.

Taurasi then added to her haul of trophies by winning the title twice more with UMMC Ekaterinburg in 2013 and 2016, eventually playing for seven consecutive seasons for the club.

Her legendary status is assured not only due to her success with both EuroLeague Women juggernauts, but also for the fact she sits third among the competition's all-time scorers during the modern era with 3,200 points.

Playing 178 games (30th), Taurasi also handed out 688 assists (7th), grabbed 176 steals (30th), pulled down 782 rebounds (38th) and blocked 48 shots (58th).

Stepping out for a total of 13 EuroLeague Women campaigns, the prolific guard also suited up for Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in the competition, having initially started with WBC Dynamo during 2005. FIBA
