MUNICH (Germany) - Another exciting EuroLeague Women season is in the books and as usual, there were mixed fortunes for the clubs who stepped and competed in the competition.

Our women's basketball expert Paul Nilsen has been chewing over each team's performance across the campaign and taking into account results and performances against pre-season expectations to come up with a grade.

Check out our EuroLeague Women 2024-25 Report Card.

    Basket Landes B+

Home court comforts really helped Landes - again!

A nice cut and paste of the Landes blueprint. Win your home games (or most) with the backing of noisy and loyal fans, squeeze everything you can out of your modest budget with your recruitment. Win a Club Excellence Award. Keep on punching above your weight. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

    Beretta Famila Schio A-

Schio started slowly but then caught fire after the winter break

Start the season stumbling and slowly, but gather momentum like an express train to become one of the best teams around. Use your fantastic coach to almost make the Semi-Finals, but curse your bad luck that one of your best players is ill on the big day and you only just get squeezed out.

    Casademont Zaragoza B+

Casademont Zaragoza missed their own party on the floor but did the competiton proud as host club.

Host the party in your own house but ultimately don't land an invite after fighting so hard to make it. Off-court, still manage to impress everyone with super organization and a true passion for the sport. Promise to make it the full on-court experience in 2026 so Final Six is even more magical.

    CIMSA CBK Mersin A-

Mersin made the Final after a major coaching change, with Ahmet Kandemir installed

Almost somehow end up winning it all due to accident rather than design. Change your coach, and your players regularly. One day it might work. Impress at Final Six, but fall short of historic title as all that talent scores just 53 points. Still be proud of coming so close. Spend summer reading up on stability, continuity and chemistry.

    DVTK HUNTHERM B-

DVTK struggled to repeat their amazing 2023-24 season despite great home support

Set out with the aim of following up your eye-catching 2023-24 season utilizing almost the exact same roster. Great home support as usual but still come up short with just one win in the First Round. Slide into EuroCup Women as top seeds and get knocked out in a shock upset. Ouch.

    Fenerbahce Opet B

Fenerbahce demands A+ standards - always. They fell short this time.

Win every game then blow your perfect record and three-peat dream apart with the worst Fener performance in recent memory. Produce mind-blowing stat when out-rebounded 50-18 due to "a lack of heart". Wrap it up by changing coaches within 48 hours of Final Six ending.

    Olympiacos B-

It was a season of major struggle for Olympiacos

Assemble a roster that doesn't look deep or talented enough to do justice - giving your coach no chance. Confirm that thoery immediately with a huge 30 point loss. If you still didn't believe it, get blown out again and again. Salvage some home pride by winning the Greek Championship while Final Six is being played.

    Perfumerias Avenida B

Rising star Iyana Martin Carrion excelled in her first season with Avenida

Kick yourself you get plenty of wins (five to be precise) but still don't make Final Six. Kick yourself in frustration at only getting Grade B when you feel you deserved more. Be thrilled that your rookie gets Young Player of the Year, but question if the first-timer should have to stand out quite as much.

    Tango Bourges Basket A-

Tango Bourges made Final Six against many people's pre-season expectations

Get told by just about everyone that the roster you have built means a probable season of struggle. Defy the doom merchants and do a great job to make the first ever Final Six. Push, push and push some more to almost make the Semi-Finals with quality team-orientated ball.

    Umana Reyer Venezia B

Reyer started on fire and then the wheels came crashing off from November onwards

Start the season like shock champions in waiting or at least Final Six locks. On fire and with three wins from four, it's all going well - until Halloween happens. It's seriously scary as you lose six in a row and don't win a single game in November, December or January. The wheels came off!

    Uni Gyor B-

It was a tough First Round for Uni Gyor

Start badly. Without your big-hitting import, the losses feel a little bit inevitable. Eventually get rolling with your big-hitter and play much better. But with six losses to your name, take your medicine - an early exit. Fall into EuroCup Women and ironically end up getting dumped out by your Hungarian arch-rivals.

    Valencia Basket Club A

Valencia made history with their highest ever finish under Coach of the Year Ruben Burgos

Get tipped pre-season to make Final Six and deliver against potential. Make history by getting to Semi-Finals. Deal with injury crisis at the worst time and enjoy the stellar support from your fans. Almost make the Final with help of award-winning coach. Show you're ready to stay as future contenders.

    Villeneuve d'Ascq LM B-

Villeneuve went winless - but then won the EuroCup Women title

Struggle badly and get blown away in the First Round without a win to your name - despite having a champion coach at the helm. Exit competition swiftly and under a new playcaller, make up for a poor EuroLeague Women season by winning EuroCup Women silverware! Yes, an A+ for that part!

    Zabiny Brno B

Zabiny Brno fans loved seeing their team back at the big table as they came through the Qualifiers

Enjoy the ride of being back in the competition after so long away. Give the home fans an early win, keep pushing and end the season being able to hold your head up high after many competitive performances. Basically, play the pre-season script to perfection.

    ZVVZ USK Praha A+

What a fairytale it was for Praha and Coach Hejkova

Roll with the punches of early losses and then serious injury issues. Show huge heart down the season stretch. Play great team ball and trust your bench. Surprise everyone by beating the favorites and completing the job with a fairytale finish for your legendary coach. Absolutely beautiful!
