ZVVZ USK Praha caused an upset by taking down back-to-back champions Fenerbahce Opet 91-71 and it while a super team effort, it was headed by the one-two punch of Ezi Magbegor and Brionna Jones.
The former was sensational and accumulated a performance efficiency valuation of 29 after shooting 70 percent from the field on her way to 16 points. Magbegor also made it a huge double-double by pulling down 16 rebounds.
Her frontcourt partner Jones was also a tower of strength for the Czech club and stood out with an 80 percent shooting return as she collected 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
The loss was tough to take for Fenerbahce and particularly Julie Allemand who makes the line up after contributing an all-around 9 points, 7 assists and 3 steals in defeat. CIMSA CBK Mersin enjoyed making their second final in three years as they outlasted Valencia Basket Club 68-66 in an exciting encounter. Marine Fauthoux was one of their top performers and stepped off court with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. While Valencia just came up short, Kayla Alexander did her best to inspire her team with 14 points, 9 boards and 3 assists.
