EuroLeague Women continues record-breaking digital growth

    The online presence of EuroLeague Women hit new heights

    New all-time highs set once again as the competition goes from strength to strength.

    MUNICH (Germany) - The popularity and success of EuroLeague Women shows no signs of slowing down after another stunning year of digital growth and record-breaking levels of fan engagement. An exciting and entertaining 2024-25 campaign was wrapped up recently at the inaugural and historic Final Six in Zaragoza, Spain as ZVVZ USK Praha were crowned champions. The innovative season showpiece served up a fairytale ending as retiring coach and FIBA Hall of Fame member Natalia Hejkova won a staggering sixth title.

    Fans of the competition immersed themselves in the competition throughout the 2024-25 season like never before, enjoying dedicated EuroLeague Women social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and TikTok.

    Overall engagement levels continued on their upward trajectory and climbed from 5.1 million to an all-time high of 5.5 million. There were also over 100,000 new social media followers across all channels, taking the overall total to a new peak of 810,000.

    The biggest growth came on EuroLeague Women's TikTok account, which gained over 55,000 followers.

    Meanwhile, one of the main causes for celebration was the eye-catching landmark of 100 million video views being hit for the first time ever - reflecting the surge in demand for such content.

    There were also record-breaking levels of engagement on the official EuroLeague Women website, which attracted all-time highs for page views and sessions. Page views increased from 2.1 million to 2.7 million, while sessions reached a record high of 634,000.

    In terms of website users, there were similar patterns to the previous season. Once again, the most visitors were from Spain at 20 percent, France at 15 percent and Türkiye with 14 percent of the traffic. The top five audiences were rounded out with USA making up 8 percent and Italy at 6 percent.

    The official EuroLeague Women App enjoyed steady growth with over 13,000 new app downloads, leading to a new all-time high of over 220,000 sessions. ###
