    MUNICH (Germany) - Iyana Martin Carrion, Leila Lacan and Matilde Villa have all been revealed as finalists for the EuroLeague Women Young Player of the Year Award.

    They are all in contention for the prize after finishing in the top three of voting conducted by EuroLeague Women coaches, players, selected media and the fans.

    Spanish rising star Martin Carrion lit it up in a big way for Perfumerias Avenida in her first campaign, while French guard Lacan helped Basket Landes navigate the Qualifiers and make it to the Quarter-Final Play-Ins. Meanwhile, Italian playmaker Villa has continued to shine as a young leader for Umana Reyer Venezia.

    This season, players born in 2003 and later were eligible for the award.

    The winners of the EuroLeague Women Awards will be announced at a special ceremony at the EuroLeague Women Final Six in Zaragoza, Spain on Saturday, April 12.

    Stats: 26.7 MPG / 10.5 PPG / 4.3 RPG / 3.4 APG / 12.3 EFF It's been an eye-catching rookie season for the Spanish guard who has played almost 27 minutes per game for Avenida and made a huge impact, becoming a firm fan favorite. She also finished second for her team in efficiency, assists and third in scoring, underlining what a productive and exciting first campaign it has been.

    Leila Lacan (Basket Landes)

    Birth Date: June 2, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.81 (5ft 11in)

    Stats: 23.0 MPG / 8.7 PPG / 2.8 APG / 1.9 RPG / 6.8 EFF It was an impressive season for Basket Landes who made the Quarter-Final Play-Ins having started in the Qualifiers and French guard Lacan played a major role in this. Her 23 minutes per game underline her importance and it has been her energy and defense that so often impress when she is on the court.

    Matilde Villa (Umana Reyer Venezia)

    Guard

    Birth Date: December 9, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.70 (5ft 7in)

    Stats: 26.7 MPG / 10.5 PPG / 4.3 RPG / 3.4 APG / 12.3 EFF Playing big minutes again for Reyer this season, Villa is already an established leader ahead of time due to her excellent maturity and composure. The Italian playmaker almost recorded a double-digit scoring return this season, while also passing the rock to her teammates with more than 3 assists per outing.
