MUNICH (Germany) - It was party time for Czech side Zabiny Brno after they took down TARR KSC Szekszard on the road to confirm their place in the EuroLeague Women Regular Season for the first time in a decade. They join Basket Landes and Casademont Zaragoza in the main phase, with the duo having booked their respective berths 24 hours earlier. The three losing teams in the shape of TARR KSC Szekszard, Besiktas JK and CSM Constanta will now all take their place in EuroCup Women.

TARR KSC Szekszard 73-80 Zabiny Brno

Having lost the first leg by a point and also trailing their hosts 63-56 early in the last quarter, it had looked like the tie might be slipping away from Brno. However, they ramped up the offensive gears in a big way and outscored their opponents 24-10 in the run up to the final buzzer.

Elissa Cunane was sensational with a scorching shooting effort returning 20 points and only missing out on a double-double by one rebound. The other half of the twin turbo for Brno was Petra Zaplatova who amassed as stellar 27 points.

The defeat was tough to take for Sara Bejedi who dropped 22 points in the loss, while her Szekszard colleague Marena Whittle had 23 points, 6 boards and 4 steals.

    Basket Landes 80-58 Besiktas JK

Basket Landes breezed past Besiktas 164-128 on aggregate after they followed up their commanding win on the road last week in Istanbul with another comprehensive victory. There never looked like being any other outcome after the hosts jumped out on the visitors 25-15 in the opening period.

It was Destiny Slocum who pulled the strings for her new club as the guard contributed 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Meanwhile, Mousdandy Djaldi-Tabdi impressed too, adding a team high 15 points in a deadly shooting performance.

    Casademont Zaragoza 71-52 CSM Constanta

Casademont Zaragoza have the opportunity to repeat their memorable rookie campaign after making it back to back Regular Season appearances in the wake of an eye-catching 146-109 aggregate success against CSM Constanta.

They put their Romanian opponents to the sword for the second time with some great team basketball and ball movement that had the home fans on their feet.
