Youth Olympics winners Argentina and USA stand out in list of FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2019 participants
ULAANBAATAR (FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2019) – The oldest FIBA 3x3 competition is back next year in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on June 3-7, 2019.
ULAANBAATAR (FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2019) – The oldest FIBA 3x3 competition (first played in 2011) is back next year in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on June 3-7, 2019 after the traditional 1-year hiatus for the Youth Olympic Games, that saw Argentina’s men and USA’s women challenge the European supremacy on 3x3.
Just like the Mongolian hosts, Argentina’s men and USA’s women were automatically qualified for the event. USA will have both their men and women’s teams at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup for the first time since 2015.
USA’s men along with the rest of the teams earned their ticket to Ulaanbaatar based on their position in the FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking.
Besides USA, China, Mongolia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine will be the only 6 countries to feature their 2 teams in the competition.
The Philippines’ women will make their first appearance at the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup. They will be the only Filipino national team (men or women) to play at a world-level 3x3 national team competition in 2019.

Men: Argentina (reigning champs), Belarus, Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Mongolia (hosts), Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, USA .
Women: Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia (hosts), Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA (reigning champs).
