    The World Tour Opener is back to Utsunomiya

    The World Tour will start in Utsunomiya on April 26-27.

    UTSUNOMIYA (Japan) - The iconic 3x3 city of Utsunomiya, Japan will once again host the world’s best players next season as it stages the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Opener on April 26-27, 2025.

    Players and fans will be assured of the very best start to the World Tour as they return to a city known for hosting 3x3 events of the highest quality with unforgettable atmospheres. It will be the fourth consecutive time that Utsunomiya has hosted the World Tour Opener, in addition, to hosting four World Tours between 2016-2019, including the Final in 2019. The 3x3-loving city also staged the FIBA 3x3 UOQT 2 - Olympic Qualifying Tournament on 3-5 May 2024 further showcasing its credentials as a leading host of 3x3.

There are few cities in the world with Utsunomiya’s proven experience in hosting 3x3 events to the highest standards and we know that they will set the tone for what is set to be an incredible season next year.” In April this year FIBA announced the renewal of Utsunomiya as the host city for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Opener for three more years from 2025 to 2028.
