    Senegal have all big guns on board for U19 World Cup - including Faye, Sylla, Diop, Badji and Boissy

    DAKAR (Senegal) - Senegal will bring their top players to their training camp for the FIBA U19 World Cup 2019, including 11 of the 24-man preliminary roster who play in Spain and four others from Italy.

    DAKAR (Senegal) - Senegal will have a star-studded 24-man preliminary roster for training camp for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019 including 11 players who ply their trade in Spain and four more from Italy.

    Just five of the invitees participated in the most recent 16-player camp in May while only five of them play in Senegal - two of those in the NBA Academy in Senegal.

    Senegal's main stars will come from Spain including Ibou Dianko Badji from Barcelona, Khalifa Ababacar Diop and Biram Faye from Gran Canaria and Amar Sylla from Real Madrid.  The four-member contingent from Italy is topped by  Virtus Bologna big man Gora Camara. Jim Thiam plays in Germany for Bayern Munich, Idrissa Pouye plays in France and Babacar Cisse DIallo is at a high school in the United States. 


    Senegal's captain Jean Jacques Boissy  as well as 
    Abdou Aziz Bandaogo both play at the NBA Africa while Mouhamed Lamine Mbaye and Pape Thiam are both at the Seed Academy and Mactar Benoit Ndiaye plays for HLM BC. 

    In total, 10 players who guided Senegal to second place at the FIBA U18 African Championship 2018 are in the training camp for head coach Madiene Fall. 

    Senegal will face Lithuania, New Zealand and United States in Group A of the U19 World Cup, which runs from June 29-July 7 in Heraklion, Greece.
