    Japan earn first tournament win since 1999

    CAIRO (FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017) - Japan secured their first win in the competition in 18 years after beating Mali 76-73.


    CAIRO (FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017) - Japan secured their first win in the competition in 18 years after beating Mali 76-73.

    Rui Hachimura starred with another double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Keisuke Masuda top scored with a game-high 16 points.

    Japan's last participation in the event was in 1999 and they bounced back from their loss on the opening day yesterday to move to 1-1 in Group C.
