ZARAGOZA (2016 FIBA U17 Women's World Championship) - An array of top basketball stars have led the deluge of praise on social media for Australia landing their maiden FIBA U17 Women's World Championship.
Australia managed to go unbeaten in Zaragoza as they stormed their way to the top of the podium. Having inflicted a first ever loss on the USA in the Semi-Finals, they landed the coveted silverware with a commanding 62-38 win against Italy as center Ezi Magbegor claimed MVP and was by her team-mates Monique Conti and Jasmine Simmons in the All Star Five as presented by Tissot.
Newly crowned NBA champion Matthew Dellavedova was one of the first to pass on his congratulations, along with fellow NBA and Boomers' star Andrew Bogut.
