    France race back from 19-point deficit to beat Austria, Canada roll by Argentina

    AUCH (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - France fought back from a 19-point third quarter deficit to beat Australia in a 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship warm-up tournament while Canada rolled past Argentina

    Australia led 62-43 near the end of the third quarter but France reeled off 15 straight points and ended up winning 71-68 in their final game at the U17 Worlds warm-up tournament in Auch, France. Jaylen Hoard led the way with 18 points while Ivan Fevrier scored 11 points, Yves Pons added 10 and Ludovic Beyhurst collected 9 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. 

    Australia built the lead after having trailed by 14 points early in the second quarter. Patrick Bines paced the Oceania side with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Kyle Zunic scored 12 points. 

    Canada meanwhile finished their tournament with a dominant 87-51 victory over fellow FIBA Americas side Argentina. Danilo Djuricic paced the Canadians with 18 points while Quincey Guerrier had 14 points, Stefan Smith scored 13 and Danniel Sackey chipped in 10 points. 

    Argentina, who turned the ball over 21 times, were led by 18 points from Nicolas Franco while Lautaro Lopez scored 10 points in the loss. 

    Canada and Australia are both drawn into Group C in Zaragoza with China and Finland while Argentina will take on Lithuania, Mali and Spain in Group B and France will play in Group D with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominican Republic and Korea.
