    Draw complete for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021

    VALENCIA (Spain) - The FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021 Draw took place in Valencia, Spain on Monday.

    VALENCIA (Spain) - The FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021 Draw has been completed, with the official ceremony taking place at the Santiago Grisolia Auditorium in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain on Monday.

    The draw was attended by FIBA Europe President Turgay Demirel and FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak, as well as the Spanish Basketball Federation President Jorge Garbajosa and his French counterpart Jean-Pierre Siutat, President of the French Basketball Federation.

    The fate of the 16 participating teams was decided by former internationals Anna Montanana and Cathy Melain, who assisted with the drawing of the groups, representing each of the co-hosts, while FIBA Women's EuroBasket legend Amaya Valdemoro was one of the presenters. 

    France and Spain had the right to choose a partner Federation to play in their respective country, with France selecting Belgium and Spain choosing Slovakia.

    Belgium were drawn to a different group than France in Strasbourg by default as both countries shared the same seed. Meanwhile, Slovakia was automatically drawn to the same group as Spain in Valencia.

    The groups are as follows:

    Teams drawn to Groups A and B will play in Valencia, Spain, with Group C and D action, including Qualification for the Quarter-Finals and the respective Quarter-Finals, taking place in Strasbourg, France.

    The competition will conclude in Valencia with the Final Phase.

    FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2021, the 38th edition of the flagship event, will take place from June 17-27, 2021.
