With Turkey preparing to play at Final Round without two of their biggest legends for the first time in the retired Nevriye Yilmaz and Birsel Vardarli Demirmen, much will rest on the shoulders of playmaker Alben.

Turkey are also looking to recover from a disappointing campaign at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018 when they failed to find an offensive edge and continually fell flat.
Having changed play-caller, with Ceyhun Yildizoglu of Cukurova Basketbol replacing Ekrem Memnun for a second spell in the hot-seat, they have also chosen to cast their net wide and provide opportunities to no fewer than 21 candidates.
If given the green light to play, Stokes will bring both WNBA and EuroLeague Women quality. It is also not the first time that Turkey have included a pair of naturalized players, previously splitting up tournaments between Quanitra Hollingsworth and Lara Sanders in the past.
There are potential opportunities for a number of rising stars, including the likes of Ilayda Guner,Goksen Fitik and Sevgi Uzun.
