    Gameday 2 Top Performers: Carleton, Achonwa, Park, Meesseman, Macaulay

    SYDNEY (Australia) - There were some epic individual performances on Gameday 2 at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments, with Bridget Carleton leading the way.

    SYDNEY (Australia) - There were some epic individual performances on Gameday 2 at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments, with Bridget Carleton leading the way.

    The Canadian guard posted an electrifying performance in Osaka as Canada stormed past Bosnia and Herzegovina 96-64, with the guard barely missing a shot. She made a stunning 11 of 12 from the field en-route to 28 points and also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

    In the same game, Natalie Achonwa got it done in the paint for Canada with a stellar showing of her own. The frontcourt star excelled with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. She also shot the lights out, making an eye-catching 80 percent from the floor.

    Korea sensation Ji Su Park showed why she is revered in her homeland as she made jaws drop to the floor in amazement with a truly special double-double that was headlined by a staggering 11 blocks. She also harvested 20 points and 13 rebounds as her team sneaked past Brazil 76-74.Β 

    Belgium flirted with upsetting reigning champions USA, but eventually went down 84-75 in Washington DC. Emma Meesseman stole the show for the Cats with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in defeat.

    Finally, Victoria Macaulay was at the heart of pulling off the biggest upset of the tournament in Belgrade as Nigeria beat France for the very first time. She paced a famous 67-65 triumph with a superb 19 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
