    Delle Donne, Stewart, Taurasi and Bird included in 19-strong USA squad for Seattle camp

    COLORADO SPRINGS (FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018) – USA will take 19 players to their Seattle training camp including reigning WNBA MVP Sylvia Fowles.

    COLORADO SPRINGS (FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018) – USA will take 19 players to their Seattle training camp including reigning WNBA MVP Sylvia Fowles, the exciting Elena Delle Donne and Breanna Stewart, along with veteran duo Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird.

    The three-day camp which tips-off on April 24, will serve as essential preparation for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2018 in Tenerife and will culminate in an exhibition game against China on April 26.

    "I’m excited to have this group of players joining us in camp in a couple of weeks," said head coach, Dawn Staley.

    "I look forward to working with them and gaining some more chemistry with both players and staff, now that we have a staff in place.


    "We can get a lot more done and really focus on in-game situations, especially with the exhibition against China at the end of camp."

    A total of 15 members of the 2018-2020 USA National Team pool are unable to participate in camp due to either injury or club commitments. This includes an array of players who are heading to EuroLeague Women Final Four such as Brittney Griner, Maya Moore, Nnemkadi Ogwumike and Angel McCoughtry.
