Korea were strong favorites to outlast Chinese Taipei but had to work incredibly hard to progress after completing an 80-74 victory.
Chinese Taipei had no answer to Hyejin Park who was superb and carried Korea with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and fittignly scored the dagger three-pointer with 60 seconds remaining.

That timely intervention effectively confirmed a Semi-Finals match-up against China, as well as a place in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments.
Meanwhile Chinse Taipei were left wondering what might have been. Rightly proud of their efforts, and one of the best performances they have produced in the competition for many years, they had 11 different scorers, with Hsiao-Tong Peng leading the way with 18 points.

Australia came out on top in the Oceania derby clash against New Zealand but also had to work hard to make the last four as they completed a 72-61 success, built on the back of some nice outside shooting.
Sami Whitcomb showed her class and leadership once again with the standout performance as she claimed 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Lauren Scherf also weighed in with an important 13 points and 6 rebounds. Charlisse Leger-Walker replied with 17 points for the Tall Ferns.
The Opals will now face four-time defending champions Japan in the Semi-Finals.
