China just too big and strong for outmatched Philippines

BENGALURU (FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017) - Sometimes an opponent is just too big and too strong, and the Philippines learned that the hard way as they bowed to China, 117-43, in their Quarter-Final match.
Rising star Li Yueru continued her dominant play, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for the mighty Chinese, who marched to their fourth win in as many games. Li led her team to the Semi-Finals and, more importantly, she helped them qualify to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 in Spain.
Helping Li out were four other Chinese players who tallied 12 points each and another young star, Huang Sijing. The 21-year-old Huang had an all-around stat-line of 15 points, 8 boards and 5 assists in under 14 minutes of play.
China seemed to have an extra boost of energy in this encounter, especially with the legendary Yao Ming watching from the sidelines.

It was clear from the get-go that Perlas Pilipinas were outclassed by China. The Filipinas never tasted the lead, and they trailed by 20 points by the end of the first period. Coach Patrick Aquino's squad could only muster 2 points in the entire second quarter, and after that it was clear which team would end up victorious.
For what it's worth, Afril Bernanrdino tossed in 11 points to top-score for the Philippines, which remain winless after four tries.
China are set to face the winner between Japan and Chinese Taipei in the Round of 4.
