The 25-year-old shooting guard led Puerto Rico to a 70-64 victory over Mexico, with massive contributions on both ends of the floor. She finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and a block. Guirantes also went a perfect 6/6 at the charity stripe.
Brazil's Tainá Paixao paced Brazil to a 67-54 victory over the United States after collecting 24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. The 31-year-old shooting guard was a constant headache for the American defense, dominating one-on-one and getting to the free throw line 11 times – draining 100 percent of her attempts. She had a 23 efficiency rating.

After their Monday collapse against Venezuela, Cuba recovered and earned a great victory over Argentina, 66-63. Veteran Yamara Amargo, the team's oldest player, went off for 25 points, including 5 three-pointers. The 38-year-old forward also had 5 rebounds, a steal and a block for an efficiency of 16.
