He won back-to-back medals at the Olympics. He's France's all-time best. One of the great minds of basketball.

PARIS (France) - From 1937 to 2009, France won a total of eight medals at major events such as the FIBA EuroBasket, the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Olympics.

Since Vincent Collet took over in 2009, they picked up another eight in the last 13 years, culminating with silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics, making them the first hosts to reach the Final since the United States did it in 1996.

He was the one making the crucial lineup changes to propel France to new heights at the Bercy Arena, and for his tactical ideas, he is awarded with the FIBA Best Coach of the 2024 Olympics.

This was Collet's second Olympic medal, after playing the Final in 2021, too. He led the team to two FIBA Basketball World Cup bronze medals, in 2014 and 2019, and he won the FIBA EuroBasket in 2013, along with second-place finishes in 2011 and 2022, and a third-place finish in 2015.
