    Vienna, Ub Huishan NE dominate Day 1 of FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi Final

    ABU DHABI (UAE) - Ub Huishan NE (SRB) and Vienna (AUT) were all gas no breaks on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi Final 2022.

    THE TEAMS

    4-time 3x3 World Tour Masters 2022 winners Ub Huishan NE (SRB) had a perfect start at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi Final with a 2-0 record as they dominated Princeton (USA) and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) led by the MVP of the World Tour Strahinja Stojacic, who finished the day with 14 points. 



    In a win-or-go-home situation, Delgernyam Davaasambuu scored a Maurice Lacroix buzzer-beater from the free-throw line to qualify the Mongolians to the quarter-finals.

    In Pool B, the shock was the elimination of the World Tour 2021 winners Liman, as they lost both games against new kids on the block Omaha 3Ball (21-13) and World Tour Paris winners Vienna (21-15). Stefan Stojacic aka "Mr.Robot" was a cheat code once again and finished Day 1 with 21 points and as #1 in P-Val (23.0)

    Speaking of upsets, Lausanne Sport sent Hong Kong Masters winners Sakiai Gulbele home after defeating them 21-9 as they needed to win by 11 points. Antwerp, who lost to Sakiai on a Maurice Lacroix Buzzer Beater, advanced as first in Pool C.

    Last but not least, Amsterdam HiPro finished first in Pool D defeating Riga and Utrecht, who was eliminated. 

    THE PLAYER

    Stefan Stojacic was locked-in on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Abu Dhabi Final.  He finished the day with 21 points and as #1 in P-Val (23.0) as he guided Vienna to the top of Pool B and eliminated his former team.
