    CARACAS (2011 FIBA Americas Championship) - Venezuela coach Eric Musselman has trimmed his roster to 14 players with the FIBA Americas Championship in Mar del Plata tipping off in 20 days.

    Francisco Centeno, Luis Valera and Michael Flores have all been deemed surplus to requirements.

    The squad now consists of Greivis Vasquez, David Cubillan, Heissler Guillent, Dwight Lewis, Jose Vargas, Oscar Torres, Luis Bethelmy, Nestor Colmenares, Axiers Sucre, Hector Romero, Jose Bravo, Windy Graterol, Richard Lugo, Gregory Echenique and Miguel Marriaga.

    Venezuela will continue their preparations next week in Uruguay when taking part in the Copa Oscar Moglia.
