DURHAM (NCAA) – Coach Mike Krzyzewski stole the headlines last summer when he led the United States to the gold medal at the FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

Right now, Coach K is at Duke University where he coaches the Blue Devils, the team he has run for over a quarter of a century and has turned into a college basketball powerhouse.

On Wednesday night, which was Senior Night, when some of Duke's players appeared at Cameron Indoor Stadium for the last time and just a few days before a regular-season title tilt against the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a fiery Krzyzewski made sure Duke left everything on the floor against Clemson in a 70-59 Blue Devils triumph.

Duke were led by Kyle Singler's 18 points and 11 rebounds in the victory as they improved to 27-3.

Krzyzewski, whose team had over the weekend fallen in a close game at Virginia Tech, was as animated as he's ever been against the Tigers.

Before one timeout, he even flipped over a chair on the court before talking to his players.

After it was over, Krzyzewski heaped praise on his seniors.

"To average 30 wins a season, these kids, these seniors, they've done a lot. They still have a lot to do," Krzyzewski said.

North Carolina, meanwhile, spoiled the Senior Night at Florida State.

Harrison Barnes hit a game-winning three-pointer with seven seconds remaining for the Tar Heels, who prevailed 72-70 and improved to 23-6.

Three times this season, freshman Barnes has hit late game-winning three-balls for Carolina.

Florida State, who earlier this season beat Duke in Tallahassee, fell to 20-9.

Kansas defeated Texas A&M 64-51 and Brigham Young, the third-ranked team in the country, crashed to an 82-64 defeat to New Mexico.

BYU lost for the first time since starting power forward Brandon Davis was kicked off the team for an unspecified violation of the school's honor code.

BYU's Player of the Year candidate, Jimmer Fredette, had 33 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Pitt won 66-50 over South Florida to earn at least a share of the Big East title and Louisville, whose coach Rick Pitino will lead the national team of Puerto Rico this summer at the FIBA Americas Championship, won 87-60 over Providence.

West Virginia upset visiting University of Connecticut, 65-56, and Utah State were 58-54 winners over New Mexico State.
