It's the Sale-based club' s fifth straight triumph in a year, and no-one seems capable of stopping AS Sale, who continue their dominance not only domestically but also at the continental level.
Last December, ASS stunned FIBA Africa Champions Cup (ACC) hosts Etoile Sportive de Rades of Tunisia to become the first Moroccan side to win the ACC since Maghreb Association Sportive de FEZ did it in 1998.
According to the Federation Royale Marocaine Basketball, this is ASS's seventh League title after winning the trophy in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
In the process, they became the first Moroccan team to have won the double League and Throne Cup, five consecutive seasons (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018).
With the 2018 League title under their belts, ASS earned a spot in the FIBA Africa Zone 1 Qualifiers for the 2018 ACC to be held later this year.
