Ulaanbaatar West won the FIBA 3x3 Ulaanbaatar Super Quest 2025.

ULAANBAATAR (Mongolia) - Ulaanbaatar West (MGL) thrilled the home fans during an unbeaten campaign to take out the title at the FIBA 3x3 Ulaanbaatar Super Quest 2025.

Here's what happened on April 12-13.

    The winner: Ulaanbaatar West (MGL)

Led by inspirational Delgernyam Davaasambuu, Ulaanbaatar West were unstoppable as they romped through the competition to win all five games. Exemplifying the famed characteristics of 'The Bull', Ulaanbaatar West were extremely stingy with their defense to put the clamps on their pool opponents Taipei Knights (TPE) and Singapore (SGP).

Their confidence spilled over into Day Two as they fought off a tough challenge from Jumpshot Singapore (SGP) in the semis before a more convincing W over Bayankhairkhan Mig (MGL) in the final.

The speedy Bolor-Erdene Gantsolmon was unconscious throughout to take home the MVP.

    The runner-up: Bayankhairkhan Mig (MGL)

They may have fallen short in the final, but Bayankhairkhan Mig won plenty of admirers after winning their first four games in impressive style.

After crushing Singapore in the quarters, Bayankhairkhan produced a herculean performance to upset hot favorite Ulaanbaatar East, a loaded team featuring superstars Anand Ariunbold and Dulguun Enkhbat.

Big fella Altangerel Batsaikhan anchored the paint superbly, while rising star Avirmed Lhagvaa was a walking bucket as Mongolia showcased their considerable depth of 3x3 talent.

The Final: Ulaanbaatar West 21-Bayankhairkhan Mig 12

Ulaanbaatar West started as warm favorite, but were wary against an opponent on a considerable high after an upset for the ages.

Davaasambuu was keen to stamp his presence as he muscled down low in an early statement. The towering Dulguun Gankhuyag complemented him perfectly and he showed off his sweet low post game as Ulaanbaatar West made their move.

But it wasn't all one-way traffic with Baasandorj Munkhtur keeping the underdog afloat with hot shooting from deep. However, the experience and chemistry from Ulaanbaatar West proved too much as Davaasambuu fittingly sealed the deal with a splash from downtown to clinch the title.

The reward: Two tickets to the Chengdu Masters Ulaanbaatar West and Bayankhairkhan Mig qualified for the Chengdu Masters on May 3-4 as part of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. Final Standings: 1. Ulaanbaatar West (MGL) 2. Bayankhairkhan Mig (MGL) 3. Ulaanbaatar East (MGL) 4. Jumpshot Singapore (SGP) 5. Zavkhan Sainscore (MGL)
