Top seed Canada face Spain in blockbuster at FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Hangzhou Final 2024

HANGZHOU (China) - An amazing season of the Women's Series 2024 will come down to an epic decider at the Hangzhou Final on September 7-8. 

No.1 seed and defending champs Canada face Paris Olympic silver medalist Spain in a Pool A blockbuster. It was only a month ago that the powerhouses met at Paris 2024, where Spain won an OT thriller. 

Spain are in the midst of a purple patch having won the Europe Cup, where Sandra Ygueravide added to her legacy after taking home the MVP. 

It is much more than just a two-horse race in Pool A because Italy and China U24 have also won titles on this season's Women's Series.

China's young guns will enter extremely confident having clinched the recent Debrecen Stop, where 19-year-old bucket getter Yuting Deng won MVP.

No.2 seed Netherlands and No.3 France reprise their rivalry in a Pool B firecracker between European powers. 

France currently have the bragging rights after winning a semi-final classic at the Europe Cup. 

France have won three titles this season and will continue to be motivated after their Olympic disappointment on home soil. They will have an early litmus test against rival Netherlands, who have also tasted success on this season's Women's Series. 

Czechia qualified to the showpiece finale after a runner-up finish in Debrecen and they loom as a major threat in Pool B.

While China U23 round out the group and will showcase their mighty country's depth of talent with these emerging stars having reached the semis in their two events this season.
