MIES (Switzerland) - Sixth week of the Round of 16 in the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The 18th Team of the Week this season consists of Stephen Brown (ERA Nymburk), Lluis Costa (La Laguna Tenerife), Desi Rodriguez (Nanterre 92), Ismael Kamagate (Bertram Derthona Basket), and Ebuka Izundu (Galatasaray).
Brown was the brain of the operation for ERA Nymburk, as they completed the sweep over UCAM Murcia and booked top spot in Group L. Nymburk were a +28 team (!) in his 19 minutes of work.
Without Marcelinho Huertas and Bruno Fitipaldo, La Laguna Tenerife turned to Lluis Costa to do the backcourt damage against BAXI Manresa.
Rodriguez had another 20+ point game for Nanterre 92, the third one in his last four BCL games, taking down Falco-Vulcano Szombathely to advance to Quarter-Finals.
Kamagate was the big stifling figure in the middle for Bertram Derthona Basket as they eliminated FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets in a direct battle for QFs.
Izundu dunked his way to another win for Galatasaray, a monster double-double torturing Manisa Basket Divissa in Istanbul.
