MIES (Switzerland) - Fifth week of the Round of 16 in the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The 17th Team of the Week this season consists of Jordan Walker (Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola), Kameron Taylor (Unicaja), Derrick Alston Jr (BAXI Manresa), Konstantin Kostadinov (La Laguna Tenerife) and Nighael Ceaser (ERA Nymburk).
Walker was simply sensational against FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets, setting the new BCL records in points scored in a single game and in the highest ever efficiency rating.
Taylor scored his personal career-high in all competitions as a pro, leading Unicaja to another win, this time on the road at Manisa Basket Divissa.
Alston Jr once again had more points than minutes, saving BAXI Manresa's season with a big performance against Pallacanestro Reggiana.
Kostadinov used his minutes perfectly to lead La Laguna Tenerife to another win, sending them to 11-0 this season, dunking his way to a win over Aliaga Petkimspor.
Ceaser had a similar kind of impact for ERA Nymburk as the Czech champs took care of business against the Hungarian champions Falco-Vulcano Szombathely.
