MIES (Switzerland) - Third week of the Round of 16 in the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The 15th Team of the Week this season consists of RJ Cole (Rytas Vilnius), Tyrone Wallace (Galatasaray), Kaiser Gates (UCAM Murcia), Desi Rodriguez (Nanterre 92) and Grant Golden (AEK Betsson BC).
Cole had his BCL career-high to help Rytas Vilnius maintain their perfect record at home this season, taking down Manisa Basket in Lithuania.
Tyrone Wallace was Galatasaray's key player to pull off the upset of the week, handing Unicaja their first BCL defeat in 15 months, ending a run of 18 straight wins.
Gates was the game winner for UCAM Murcia in a double overtime thriller, surviving a tough environment such as Falco-Vulcano Szombathely's home arena.
Rodriguez was all over the place for Nanterre 92, taking down ERA Nymburk and giving the French side a major push towards the Quarter-Finals.
Golden had a perfect night on the road in Germany, exactly what AEK Betsson BC needed to remain unbeaten in the Round of 16, marching towards winning the group after a win over FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets.
You can now vote for the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday, when the poll closes, on the official BCL social media channels: Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram.
