    Brazil won the South American U21 2018 title

    SALTA (Americas) - Brazil defeated Argentina, 84-76, and celebrated with the title of the South American U21 Championship 2018. For its part, Uruguay took home the Bronze medal.

    SALTA (Americas) - Brazil defeated Argentina, 84-76, and celebrated with the title of the South American U21 Championship 2018. For its part, Uruguay took home the Bronze medal.

    Brazil defeated Argentina 84-76 with a great last quarter that changed the course of the game. Yago Dos Santos, was awarded the MVP.

    Faced with a large crowd at the Delmi Stadium in Salta, Brazil came from behind to defeat Argentina 84-76 and become South American champion in the category. Those of Silvio Santander dominated during great part of the game but the power of Michael Uchendu and the imbalance of Yago Dos Santos twisted the course. Máximo Fjellerup was the best player of the night with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Yago Dos Santos scored 20 and was chosen the MVP of the tournament.

    The final result was 84-76 for Brazil, who deservedly was crowned South American U21 Champion, having been the team that played best throughout the tournament. Yago Dos Santos was the scorer of the match with 20 points and was chosen the MVP.

    Uruguay obtained the bronze medal in the South American U21 after defeating Chile by 84-51 thanks to a great second half. Theo Meztger and Joaquín Rodríguez combined for 43 points, more than half of their team, and 10 of 14 on long-range shooting.

    Peru finished fifth after defeating Paraguay 79-76.
