PRISTINA (Kosovo) - A confident Spain will enter the Paris Olympics in sizzling form after taking out the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series 2024 Pristina Stop on July 19.

    Here's what happened.

    The winner: Spain

Spain was the only team in the draw buoyed by the Paris Olympics and they had a pep in their step. They played with extra urgency and submitted a flawless campaign to win their third title of the season.

Using the four players journeying to Paris, Spain were in awesome form and crushed Romania and Italy on Day One as they limited both teams to single digits in scoring.

Spain had to work a bit harder against top seed Portugal, but Vega Gimeno dominated the boards and Juana Camilion was a highlight machine.

Spain had a rematch with Italy in the semis, but this was a much tougher contest as both teams ramped up the D. The Spaniards turned to superstar Sandra Ygueravide, who hit a clutch bucket late as they survived by the barest of margins.

Ygueravide starred in the final as Spain proved too good for Gyor (HUN) in a statement. Next stop, Paris!

    The runner-up: Gyor (HUN)

The No.4 seed tore through opponents on Day One, with their most impressive effort a 20-12 W over Poland. Nora Wentzel was flaming hot from deep and finished with 10 points, including four 2s, and 7 rebounds.

Portugal loomed as a tough challenge in the semis, but the Hungarians were hungry for success and produced a defensive masterclass.

The 23-year-old Orsolya Toth was sensational with a triple-five of 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 highlights as Gyor stormed into the final.

Gyor fell short of a title, but it was their best result of the season and should provide them with confidence for the business end of the W Series.

    The Final: Spain 19-Gyor 14

Spain entered as favorite and were keen to produce one last stellar performance before the Olympics.

They got the early jump, with Sandra Ygueravide going bang as Spain scored five straight points. The Hungarians desperately needed a bucket and turned to Orsolya Toth, who produced the pretty layup.

Gyor rallied back, but Spain had the answers with Vega Gimeno and Ygueravide providing the one-two punch.

Spain were never threatened and cruised to the title, with Gimeno putting the finishing touches with a bucket down low to seal the MVP award.
