PARIS (France) – In the latest episode of the ‘Ten-Minute Sprint’, our live reaction show covering the Paris 2024 3x3 Olympic tournament, hosts Greydy Diaz and former World Cup finalist Bas Rozendaal digest the end of the 3x3 women’s Olympic tournament pool phase and preview the semi-finals between Germany and Canada, as well as Spain and the United States.
Former Canadian international Catherine Traer Scrubb jumped on the show to share what makes this Canadian team so unique. The squad was named the “team of the day” by our two hosts after beating Azerbaijan (21-19) and Australia (21-10).
Diaz and Rozendaal aka ‘The Mountain’ also introduced the number 16 player in the world Ama Degbeon (Germany), who reacted to her teammates’ surprise first place at the end of the pool phase. They also brought to the show FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2021 winner Blake Dietrick (USA), who reacted to the USA’s incredible comeback from an 0-3 start to a spot to the semi-finals.
Our two hosts had a first look at the semi-finals of the women’s tournament, previewed the end of the pool phase in the men’s category and of course disagreed on their player of the day selections.
To learn more about their picks and find out who’s rocking the fantasy and predictor games, you have no choice but to watch the Ten-Minute Sprint Episode 7.
The ‘Ten-Minute Sprint’ will be back on Sunday, same place, same time, to unpack the latest from the men’s tournament, debate their award selections and bring you behind the scenes in Paris. Join us live on our FIBA3x3’s social channels tomorrow, 30 minutes after the games.
