    Sonja Greinacher named 3x3 Basketball Paris 2024 Olympics MVP

    PARIS (France) - In the women's, the towering Greinacher was outstanding to lead Germany to a first Olympic medal in any discipline of basketball.

    PARIS (France) - In the women's, the towering Greinacher was outstanding to lead Germany to a first Olympic medal in any discipline of basketball.

    She was clutch and hit the go ahead bucket to lead Germany past Spain in a heart-stopper. 

    'Sunny G' had to push through a hand injury and led all scorers with 56 points as she inspired Germany, who were rated as one of the underdogs heading in but lost just once in a brilliant campaign.

    She was joined on the Team of the Tournament by legendary Sandra Ygueravide, who played with constant energy and heart to ignite Spain to silver. She finished fifth overall in scoring with 50 points. 

    American star Hailey Van Lith also won a spot after finishing top-scorer with 47 points. She finished a strong tournament with 6 points and 5 highlights to ensure USA edged Canada for bronze.
