MIES (Switzerland) - Week 10 of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is now in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The tenth Team of the Week consists of Daron Russell, Retin Obasohan, Saben Lee, Trey Drechsel and Ioannis Kouzeloglou.
Russell was the man of the hour for Karsiyaka, as they put on a show on the road in France to take down Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball and earn homecourt advantage for the Play-Ins against Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola.
Obasohan set his season-highs in points and assists and timed them to perfection, as he had the crucial and-one bucket and an assist which propelled BAXI Manresa to an 18-point win over Bertram Derthona Basket, sending them straight to the Round of 16 group phase.
Lee had another classic Saben Lee game, doing a bit of everything as Manisa Basket defeated and eliminated FMP SoccerBet in Türkiye. Nobody has scored more points than Lee through their first four BCL games.
Drechsel made sure SL Benfica got a win over NINERS Chemnitz as they ended their run in the BCL, becoming the first player with a 30-10 game this season, and only the sixth man to do it across BCL's nine seasons.
Finally, Kouzeloglou was the reliable man in the middle for AEK Betsson BC as they stormed to a massive win over Telekom Baskets Bonn, claiming the tiebreaker and advancing straight to the Round of 16.
You can now vote for the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday, when the poll closes, on the official BCL social media channels: Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram.
