WUXI (China) - After their stirring victory at the FIBA 3x3 Shanghai Masters, rejuvenated Riffa (BRN) will back up quickly at the Wuxi Masters on October 1-2.

Riffa won't have much time to bask in their breakout dub as they look to go all the way in the 10th stop on this season's compelling World Tour 2024.

They bring back three of their heroes from Shanghai, including MVP Dennis Donkor.

But the No.4 seed will be tested immediately in Pool D against Amsterdam (NED), who boast Paris Olympic gold medalist Arvin Slagter.

The third team in the group will emerge from a loaded qualifying draw featuring Chongming (CHN), Dusseldorf LFDY (GER) and Vlasenica (BIH).

No.1 seed Ub Huishan NE (SRB) also have to regroup quickly after a bruising semi-final fun in Shanghai.

But Stefan Stojacic has overcome a knee injury scare to take his place, with reinforcements to come through superstar Strahinja Stojacic and classy Marko Brankovic.

Ub will face Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), who also made the semis in Shanghai. Pool A should be renamed the 'Group of Death' with Ub to have a rematch with Princeton (USA) after the teams contested a Day One classic in Shanghai.

    ...

No.2 Vienna (AUT) had a tough time in Shanghai, playing with just three players after superstar Nico Kaltenbrunner was ruled out with a knee injury.

He's been replaced by bucket getter Quincy Diggs as the Austrians look to get back on track and they face an early test against Liman (SRB), who were bounced out in the quarters.

    ...

It's far from a two-horse race with dangerous Podgorica Kodio (MNE) capable of emerging from Pool B.

No.3 Partizan Meta Force (SRB) are back on the World Tour and should be refreshed. They are pitted against a desperate Lausanne (SUI), who lost in the quarters in Shanghai and have not quite replicated their purple patch from earlier the season.

Last but not least in Pool C is Wuxi WenLv (CHN) - who are set to unveil someone you might just have heard of. That's right - former NBA All-Star DeMarcus 'Boogie' Cousins who has taken his talents to the half-court.
