The event starts on Wednesday 26th August and will feature ten of the best national teams in America including Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. This competition not only crowns the Americas Champion but the top four teams will also qualify for the ultimate basketball event, the 2010 FIBA World Championship; so there is everything to play for.
The action starts at 13h30 local time (GMT-4hrs) on Wednesday, with Virgin Islands vs. Uruguay.
