Prolific Prep, Example Academy win Grind Session Championship
MIAMI (United States) – In The Grind Session’s last stop of the season, Prolific Prep and Example Academy won championship titles in the boys and girls divisions, respectively.
MIAMI (United States) – In The Grind Session’s last stop of the season, Prolific Prep and Example Academy won championship titles in the boys and girls divisions, respectively. The Championship took place between March 15 and 18, in Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
The event hosted athletes from more than 10 different countries in America, Africa and Europe. Some of the boys who participated were the Americans, AJ Dybantsa (Prolific) and Tyran Stokes (Prolific), Serbian Savo Drezgić (DME), Congolese-American Moustapha Thiam (DME) and Puerto Rican Alejandro Avilés (Dream City). Among the girls were players such as Ariana Williams (Example Academy) from USA, Israeli Gal Raviv (Bella Vista Prep), Canadian Cearah Parchment (Fort Erie Academy) and Colombian Meredith Venner (The Academy of Central Florida).
The FIBA Youth Development Program (YDP) held a skills camp for local children on Saturday morning at the Malcom X court. The Grind Session held their All-Star Game at court 167.
FIBA, basketball's world governing body, through its Youth Development Program, and The Grind Session, the first and oldest winter circuit of elite high school basketball events, established a multi-year partnership in 2024, with the goal of expanding and accelerating youth development in the United States and globally.
