    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with Kuwait Basketball Association (KBA) successfully organized a World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching course in Kuwait.

    The course, conducted by WABC instructor Mr. Milan Kotarac, was held in back-to-back sessions from 31 October to 12 November and aimed to extend and improve the coaching pool in the  Gulf country.

    "Thanks and gratitude to the FIBA Regional Office Asia for cooperating and holding this first level training course to develop the level of coaches here in Kuwait, said Mr. Rasheed Al-Enezi, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KBA.

    The course started with classroom sessions and was followed by on-court sessions to help the participants implement the information they received. 

    "The training course was satisfied by all the participants because of what the course contained of modern scientific concepts in the sport of basketball, in addition to the participants' participation in explaining their philosophy in basketball," said participant, Khaled Buzaba.

    These courses are part of the Regional Office’s continuous efforts to improve the national federations, including the coaches, who are an integral part of basketball games.
