One spot is left up for grabs from the Qualifiers in the final gameday.

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - We already have eleven teams confirmed for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 later this year.

    The Asia Cup Qualifiers continue into the final gameday with 12 games taking place on Gameday 6 across February 23 and 24.

    The two highest-placed teams from each group will qualify for the Asia Cup. The third-placed teams in each of the six groups will play in a Qualifying Tournament to determine the remaining tickets to the Asia Cup.

    Here's a look at all the scenarios in each of the six groups:

    • China and Japan have already qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup

    Mongolia

    • If Mongolia beat Japan AND China beat Guam, then Mongolia will finish third and will play in the Qualifying Tournament for Third-Placed Teams;

    • If Mongolia lose to Japan and Guam beat China, then Mongolia is eliminated from contention to qualify;

    • If Mongolia and Guam both win or both lose AND Mongolia have a point difference at least 14 points better than Guam in this last game, Mongolia will finish third and will play in the Qualifying Tournament for Third-Placed Teams

    • If Guam beat China AND Japan beat Mongolia, then Guam will finish third and will play in the Qualifying Tournament for Third-Placed Teams;

    • If Guam lose to China and Mongolia beat Japan, then Guam is eliminated from contention to qualify;

    • If Guam and Mongolia both win or both lose AND Guam ensure that their point difference is no more than 12 points lower than Mongolia in this last game, Guam will finish third and will play in the Qualifying Tournament for Third-Placed Teams.
