PARIS (France) - The future success of France at the elite level will rest largely in the hands of Marine Johannes and Alexia Chartereau, with the pair being the standout names on the roster for the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2020 in Bourges, France.
The established leader for France with her dynamic scoring power and ability to light up the highlights reel, all attention will be on Johannes, who famously made such a splash on her senior tournament debut in Rio four years ago.

Alexia Chartereau | Helena Ciak | Alix Duchet | Olivia Epoupa |
Marine Fauthoux | Sandrine Gruda | Bria Hartley | Marine Johannes |
Magali Mendy | Sarah Michel | Endy Miyem | Iliana Rupert |
Diandra Tchatchouang | Valeriane Vukosavljevic |
The former Bourges Basket favorite and LDLC Asvel Feminin star will get to play on her former home court alongside the current poster girl at Le Prado in Chartereau. The 2018-19 EuroLeague Women Young Player of the Year has been on fire of late and will be a factor.
Interestingly for France and with perhaps Paris 2024 in mind as well as Tokyo 2020, there is a continued vote of confidence in rising star teenagers Iliana Rupert and Marine Fauthoux.

Of course, France also have huge quality and experience to call upon. Not least frontcourt warriors Endy Miyem of Flammes Carolo Basket, Sandrine Gruda of Famila Schio, plus winger Valeriane Vukosavljevic of ZVVZ USK Praha and playmaker Bria Hartley of Galatasaray.
France will go up against Australia, as well as Americas duo Brazil and Puerto Rico in a bid to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
