"This is a really good group of young and talented athletes," said USA head coach Geno Auriemma. "I've already had the opportunity to work with several of them in a USA Basketball National Team setting, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them as well as the rest of the USA Select Team in this kind of setting."
Before Auriemma's star-studded team travels to Rio next month in search of a sixth consecutive Olympic gold medal, they will host a four-team in an international tournament in Newark, Delaware, Bridgeport, Connecticut and New York, against Australia, Canada, and France.
The USA have been drawn in Group B alongside Canada, China, Spain, Senegal, and Serbia.
