    Spain v Serbia

Spain needed a heroic effort from Anna Cruz to beat Turkey in the final seconds of the Quarter-Finals and reach the Semi-Finals for the first time ever. While the Spaniards' determination was admirable, the Serbs' tenacity to knock out powerhouse Australia not only raised eyebrows but also served as a statement from the European champions. Either of these teams would make for a terrific - and first-time - finalist.

    France v USA

This will be a clash between the teams that battled it out in the Gold Medal Game at the London 2012 Olympics. After beating Les Bleues last month in the build-up to Rio, the five-time defending champions USA reach the Last Four undefeated in six games and remain as the favourites in the competition. The French are looking to compete to the best of their abilities and, as Valeriane Ayayi recently said, have no shortage of motivation and incentive.
