Maher has built a team consisting of veterans - such as 33-year-old Chen Nan - and newcomers - like 20-year-old Huang Sijing.

Chen Nan, a three-time Olympian, played a crucial role in China's 84-70 win over Belarus, which ensured the East Asians a place at the Rio Olympics. In the process, she came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Led by Shao Ting, the runners-up at last year's FIBA Asia Women's Championship will be appearing at the Olympics for the fourth straight time.
With the exception of Chen Nan, Li Shanshan, and Gao Song, the remaining nine members of the team are set to make their Olympic debut.
