Deja vu as Meesseman takes Top Performer, leads best of Game 2 lineup

TOKYO (Japan) - The second group games of the Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament are complete and it's Emma Meesseman of Belgium who lands top-performer honors once again after another spectacular display.

Beating her own blistering effort in the opener against Australia, the Cats' star racked up a jaw-dropping efficiency of 41 in the 87-52 demolition of Puerto Rico. Meesseman amassed 26 points and 15 rebounds, as well as handing out 6 assists and grabbing 3 steals. 

A'Ja Wilson is also back in the lineup for a second time in as many games after helping propel USA to an 86-69 triumph over Japan. The frontcourt standout excelled once again with another stellar effort. She finished the contest with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks.

She is joined by her USA teammate Breanna Stewart who also showed out with an all-action 15 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks. She also shot 60% from the floor to underline her class.

 Gabby Williams of France had one of her most influential games of her international career to kick start her team's campaign with a first win. France reacted to their opening day loss to Japan in style with a big 87-62 victory over Nigeria and spearheaded by 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals from the winger.

Finally, there was an incredible finish to China's game against Australia as they took a thrilling 76-74 success, but much of that was built around the contribution of Siyu Wang. The guard had 20 points, shot 67 percent from the field and also added 5 assists and 3 rebounds.
