Nicaragua will host a FIBA YDP Camp this January
MIAMI (United States) – A new FIBA Youth Development Program (YDP) camp will take place soon, this time at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua, Nicaragua, between January 19-21.
MIAMI (United States) – A new FIBA Youth Development Program (YDP) camp will take place soon, this time at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua, Nicaragua, between January 19-21.
The camp will be formed in collaboration with the Nicaraguan National Federation and will focus on players and coaches of training divisions. The main topics to be discussed will be talent identification and player development, both in individual technique and game concepts.
Dave Severns, former director of the Player Development Programs of the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers NBA teams, and Mariano Marcos, coordinator of the training teams of the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CAB) will be in charge of the sessions.
As one of FIBA's flagship programs, YDP has as the main objective to develop and elevate young talent, both boys and girls, from the Americas who represent or will represent their national teams in the near future.
