KADUNA (NBBF All-Star Weekend) - Solan Alayande and Abubakar Usman will respectively lead the Atlantic and Savannah conference All-Star teams in the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) All-Star Weekend that will be help in the Murtala Square Sports Complex in Kaduna on Sunday.
Joining Lagos Islanders captain and former Nigeria international Alayande on the Atlantic conference team will be: Mohammed Bukar and Edwin Jerry (Dodan Warriors); Yomi Joshua and Obum Onyia (Ebun Comets); Victor Anthony and Musa Usman (Royal Hoopers of Port Harcourt); Azuoma Dike and Onyeka Ekpete (Union Bank); Malik Tella (Police Baton); Yomi Oyeniyi (Delta Force); Jabiru Lawal (Nigeria Customs).
Usman, from Kano Pillars will be joined on the Savannah conference team by his Kano team-mates Ibrahim Yusuf and Kelvin Nambam (Kano Pillars); Manasseh Achi and Akpara Akita (Bauchi Nets); Prince Eze (Yelwa Hawks); Adeolu Olaiya and Isiaka Yusuf (Kadda Stars); Shehu Mohammed (Niger Potters of Minna); Rabiu Sani (AHIP Giants of Kano); Victor Zammeh (Plateau Peaks of Jos); Habib Hassan (Tapgun Rockets of Jos).
Head coaches Ogoh Odaudu (Royal Hoopers) and Mark Balogun (Police Baton) will be in charge of the Atlantic Conference team with Sani Ahmed (Kano Pillars) and Sani Turi (Kadda Stars) serving as their Savannah Conference counterparts.
Meanwhile, Yalwa Hawks captain Jeffery Lohor will head the field in the three-point contest. He will go up against Sabo Gabriel (Niger Potters of Minna) and Richiyo Dickson (Kadda Stars, Kaduna).
The slam-dunk contest will feature Mattew Omoye (Kano Pillars), Mattew Esiebge (Kadda Stars, Kaduna) and Ochebi Okpe (Plateau Peaks).
